Carpet Edges With Ugly Black Lines
What are the Black Edges?
Are you wondering what those dirty, black lines that show up around the edge of your carpet are? It’s called Carpet Filtration Soiling. You may find Carpet Filtration Soiling under doors, around the sides of HVAC registers, under drapes, beneath doorways or along your walls. Basically, these ugly black lines can be found anywhere the flow of air is forced through your carpet.
What Causes the Black Lines?
Pressurized air currents passing through your carpet can leave pollutants in your carpet. Your carpet becomes a filter for small particles, oil, and other debris that are in the air. Some elements that can be filtered through your carpets are cooking oils, candle soot, particles created from a maladjusted furnace, car exhaust or particles from an array of other origins.
The lighter the color of your carpet, the more noticeable this will be.
Getting rid of these Black Lines
Due to being so small, these tiny particles can be challenging to remove by just agitation. Because filtration soil can be quite diverse from home to home, the capacity to remove the stains is also diverse.
